It's slowly starting to feel like more mobile games are being announced to be shutting down than releasing. Just a few days after Pokémon UNITE's fate has been sealed, the same thing is happening to Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble.

For those who missed it, this is a Sony-developed mobile 3rd person shooter spinoff of the Ratchet & Clank series. I haven't tried it myself (might have to do so now to record gameplay footage...), but it looks quite fun, and the graphics are wonderful. It's a shame this game won't be making it out of soft launch; it was available only in nine countries in total: Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Indonesia, Norway, Philippines, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

November 6th, 2026

We’ve made the difficult decision to cease development of Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble.

 

The final planned update will be rolling out November 6th, 2026, and the app will be removed from stores on November 21st, 2026.

 

Players who already have the game will be able to continue playing until May 1st, 2027, when the game’s servers will permanently shut down.

The Qwark Pass seasons will continue to run until May 1st, 2027, and the Super Pass is now free, and all content can be earned throughout each season.

 

What happens to my Quark Pass and any unclaimed rewards?

You have until End of Service on May 1st, 2027, to enter, claim and utilize any rewards earned through play.

Can I still make in-game purchases?

No, in-app purchases have been removed. You can continue to earn rewards through play and spending that currency on upgrades, cosmetics, characters and currencies.

 

What happens to my unused in-game currency?

You have until End of Service on May 1st, 2027, to use any currency you’ve earned or purchased.

 

Can I request a refund for previous purchases?

Your eligibility for a refund for any purchases made will be through Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

 

What happens to my account and game progress after shut-down?

All player data will be wiped from the servers at the End of Service, May 1st, 2027.  If you want to delete your data ahead of May 1st, 2027, you can contact support here.

 

Can I transfer my progress, purchases or unlocked items to another game?

No, your progress and items are not transferable to any other game.

 

What happens if I registered for the game or earned pre-registration rewards?

Pre-registration rewards will be available to all players logging into the November 7th, 2026 update.
