Pokémon UNITE is shutting down in March, Gem sales already suspended
Everything is shutting down these days

The Pokémon Company has announced that the MOBA spinoff Pokémon UNITE is ending service on March 23, 2027. Developed by TiMi Studio Group, the game initially released on Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2021 - meaning it lasted a bit over five years.
Here's a rundown of key details:
- Aoes gem sales and Unite Club membership purchases have already been suspended
- The Pokémon UNITE Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo competitive tournament will still be held as previously announced - qualifiers begin on December 5, 2026.
- The final update will be released on November 12, 2026. It'll include a special event and a “library” feature. During the event, players will be able to obtain various items, including Unite licenses and Holowear that have appeared in the game up till now.
- Even after service ends, players who complete the required library data download before March 23, 2027 at 00:00 UTC will be able to use the library feature to view certain records and in-game content. Players who do not complete the required download before service ends will not be able to use the library feature afterward.
According to players, the game was a massive waste of potential, with recent updates described as "disrespectful and predatory". You can check out the Reddit discussion here.
