Sonic Dream Team is now on ANDROID thanks to an Unofficial Port
I wonder what SEGA thinks
Every single type of port you can imagine is probably happening as we speak: console to Android, PC to Android, and now not just iOS to Android, but specifically Apple Arcade.
Part of that trend is now SEGA's Sonic Dream Team - the 3D platformer released exclusively for Apple Arcade in December 2023. Since release, many people wished for the game to release on other platforms - and while officially this seemingly isn't happening anytime soon thanks to those juicy Apple contracts, people are now forcing a port into existence themselves.
More details on this port:
- Android 8+
- 64-bit devices only
- Vulkan 1.0 support
- Minimum 4GB of RAM (6GB recommended)
It's also important to mention this port was made with the help of AI - I can't confirm to what extent.
Overall if you wanted to try out Sonic Dream Team without an Apple device, you now technically can. However, you'll have to source the necessary game files yourself, as MGN does not provide downloads containing copyrighted game assets (heheheha).
Pardon the short article as there isn't that much to say and I can't provide the link - the port does exist!
