The MGN Website Is OPEN FOR BUSINESS - Here's What That Means

The ultimate revolution in network technology

MGN WEBSITE IS NOW LIVE image

I don't really know how to begin this article, so I'll just repeat the headline again - the MGN website is officially live!

As you can probably see, I'm not a professional writer - this whole thing is a massive passion project, and I'm hoping I'll be able to figure everything out along the way, hopefully with a bit of help on the side (this is a message to all MGN staff - pls consider writing some articles if you wanna). In fact, if you'd like to write articles of your own, please reach out on Discord, X/Twitter or just straight up email me at sniper@mobilegames.network (though I probably will redirect you to talk out the details on Discord anyways so...)

This website has sort of been a long time coming. Over five years ago I was already theorizing a potential Network website, and by that I don't mean Mobile Games Network, but my previous project - The Network Center. That project was basically doomed to fail looking back, but at least we got MGN out of it, and experience, and friends, so it was very worth it. They do say the only thing that matters is the friends we made along the way or whatever.

My plan for this website right now is very simple - try writing at least one article a day, keep 'em short yet useful since time's tight for both you and me, and see where things are at after a couple of weeks. By then I'm hoping that there will be a bit of traffic, preferably driven by our more unique coverage, such as my recent article on porting Switch games to iOS. At the moment the website's revenue is about -85$, so qualifying for Google ads would be quite fantastic as well.

I want to touch on my unique coverage point, since that's the most important part. I have yet to see a mobile gaming website that actually covers the ENTIRE mobile gaming industry - including modern releases, classic games, hardware, emulation, and unofficial projects. Before you had to scout out several websites at once to cover everything, but now all you need is MGN... or at least when we actually have a good amount of articles.

There will be a slight impact on our social posts, but it won't be too big. Right now my plan is to keep including the key highlights in posts, and then encourage further reading on this beautiful website via a smart call-to-action.

I will say - it does feel pretty awesome having your own website, especially since I can add stupid features like custom emotes:

Also it's kind of impossible to beat around the bush here - the entire website is vibecoded. I am not a developer in the slightest, I didn't write a single line of code here, but I did write every line you're reading in this and in my other articles, and you will be reading my lines in my future articles as well, so that's quite fun I guess.

And since this is my very own website, I can write the articles however I want! How fun is that!

Overall, that's basically it. I hope you enjoy this revolution in MGN technology, and if you want to help out, feel free to contact me somewhere.

This might've been a pretty messy article, I didn't really have a structure in mind for this one, just having a yapsesh
