Cut the Rope Remastered is escaping Apple Arcade purgatory this December

They killed the original game for this btw

For those with short-term memory loss I would like to remind you that a few days ago the original Cut the Rope received an update that pretty much killed the game, introducing fun features like:

  • Energy system
  • Stage system in levels (think Angry Birds 2)
  • Requiring three stars to beat a level
  • Removed skins
  • Replaced telekinesis power-up

And now, just days later, we get the release date for the remastered version. How curious! But anyways:

The release date is officially December 3rd, 2026.

The road to getting here has been a strange one. Not only is this a former Apple Arcade exclusive (delisted on March 19, 2026), the announcement for the game's return was made on April Fools. ZeptoLab really threw us for a loop with that one.

For a quick summary of what to expect: there's not only levels from the original, but also from throughout the series history, with some levels featuring Om Nom's family being exclusive. And also - completely overhauled visuals from 2D to 3D. Gameplay wise, it's exactly what you'd expect from the series - solve puzzles to stop Om Nom from starving.

Most importantly, this is a premium release - you buy the game outright, no IAPs or anything funky, just how it should be.

You can pre-register on the Play Store and App Store now to cop the game for $2.99. If you decide to get it later, it'll be going for $3.99.
